Of course I could have done without Clary/Jace whiny angst. ![]() Okay, I don't know what all the hubbub was about, but I enjoyed this book. Much rambling and possible spoilers ahead: A geeky, clumsy guy who turns into a brave, strong warrior yet keeping his sense of humor is very heartwarming. Of all the characters, I would say Simon was my favorite. Cassandra did a great job wrapping the book up. They are brave and warriors yet they are still just teenagers. We see how reckless Jace, Clary, Isabelle, Alec and Simon really are and how clueless they can be sometimes. We learn more about Magnus Bane and Brother Zachariah. ![]() We learn that the Shadowhunters really can't do anything without Sebastian knowing about it. We meet the Blackthorns and learn about Julian and Emma, which makes me wonder if there will be a new series with Julian and Emma who are around 12 in this book. It's over 700 pages so it's the largest but it has the ending battle between Sebastian and the Shadowhunters. ![]() This is the final book of the Mortal Instruments series. I've been trying to think of what to write that won't give the plot away but will convey how much I enjoyed this series. ![]()
